Brake services you can trustAs a full-service auto mechanic shop, we also provide complete end to end services for your vehicle's brakes.
Like many other parts of your automobile, your brakes also need to be replaced at routine intervals. A few warnings signs of a failing brake system include: a loud squeaking noise (also known as brake grinding) coming from your vehicle while slowing down, a strong, unpleasant odor coming from your vehicle after you have stopped rapidly or braked down a long hill, or a shaking steering wheel when braking at high speeds. If you have any of these warning signs, or if you haven't checked your brakes in a while and think it may be time for a brake check or brake service, don't hesitate to call the certified professionals at Complete Transmission & Auto. We perform end to end service of every part of your vehicle's braking system. Our Brake Services Include: Brake repairs If your vehicle no longer brakes as quickly as it should, please stop by our office in Overland Missouri as soon as you can. You don't want your brakes failing at a time when it could cause severe damage to you, your car or someone else. We will perform a full diagnosis on your vehicle and determine the cause of the problem, and determine what needs done to repair your brakes. Brake pads Your brake pads usually sit inside your wheel and provide the friction necessary to stop your vehicle. When you press on the brake, the brake pads get pushed against the rotors and slow down your vehicle. Brake pads are usually created with a few types of metal and graphite and eventually wear down with use. We can inspect your brake pads to determine if they have outlived their use and need replaced. Brake calipers Brake calipers help slow your vehicle down by acting like a clamp that tightens against your brake rotor. When you press your brake pedal, the brake caliper engages and clamps down on the rotor. This clamping down and the friction created by this causes your car, truck or van to slow down. Brake hoses The brake hoses in your vehicle contain the brake fluid necessary for engaging whatever type of brake system you have on your wheels. If your brake hoses begin to crack, break or disintegrate, your brake fluid will leak out and your brakes will stop functioning. If you suspect brake fluid is leaking from your brake hoses, please don't attempt to drive your vehicle. Call a tow truck to have your vehicle brought into our shop and we will fix the problem by fixing or replacing your hoses, then ensuring you have the right amount of brake fluid. Rotors The rotors on your car attach to your wheels and provide a strong surface for the brake pads or calipers to press against or clamp down against to slow your vehicle down. Over time, the rotors can warp and even turn a blue hue from overuse and getting too hot. When this happens, replacement is your only option. We offer affordable prices of brake pads and brake rotors replacement, and we offer a warranty on all our brake jobs. All major brands When you bring your vehicle to Complete Transmission & Auto for any type of brake service or brake job, you can almost be guaranteed that we service the vehicle you have.
